Wayne Sear, Queensland

Wayne's key areas of expertise are WHS and product stewardship, in addition to production and regulatory affairs. As Barmac general manager he was responsible for management of both production and storage facilities for agricultural chemicals and fertilisers, plus delivering in-house Agsafe training. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Chemistry).

Ian Johnson, New South Wales metro

Ian has delivered Agsafe courses for more than 10 years and is committed to food, environmental and people safety. He is a Chemcert Chemical User Trainer/Assessor for ChemCert Ltd, plus a food safety auditor with Freshcare, HACCP & LPA (Live Stock Production Assurance), which includes checking Agvet chemicals are correctly used according to APVMA requirements.

Phil Tucker, Northern New South Wales

Phil's hands-on involvement with the Agsafe stewardship programs, ongoing WHS consulting and role as a ChemCert trainer ensures relevant and practical support for the rural industry. From a humble beginning at Airflow Dust and Sprays to working at Cotton Grower Services as the NSW sales manager, he has extensive knowledge of logistics and occupational health and safety.

Vernon Keighley, ACT, Southern New South Wales, Eastern Victoria

Vernon joined Agsafe 23 years ago as operations manager and managed the Agsafe and drumMUSTER programs before establishing a consultancy in 2006. He worked for Monsanto for ten years in product development and regional management roles in the Middle East, North and East Africa following an assignment with FAO on a seed improvement project in Sudan. Emigrating to Australia in 1991 he has been director of the Conservation Farming Information Centre, a member of the Queensland Primary Industries Viable Farming Systems Group and production manager for Dekalb Shand Seed Company.
He has a Masters in Seed Technology (Edinburgh University) and a Bachelor of Agricultural Plant Science (Honours) from Aberdeen University.

Rosemary Henderson, Southern Victoria

Rosemary has been working with Agsafe since training first began in 1990. She is managing director of Protech Consulting Pty Ltd, which provides support to the agriculture industry. Prior to establishing her consultancy business, Rosemary worked in research and development for Hoechst Agrivet for 11 years. She holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Honours) degree and is a member of AIAST and CropLife Australia.

David Eyles, Tasmania

David has worked with Agsafe for more than eight years, delivering face-to-face training and building strong relationships with stakeholders in the agriculture industry. He has a Diploma in Agriculture and Occupational Health & Safety, and compliments his work for Agsafe by teaching agriculture at TasTAFE. He has in excess of 22 years practical experience in all aspects of farm management, including intensive cropping and livestock production.

Bevan Henderson, Western Australia

Bevan has worked with drumMUSTER and Agsafe for more than 14 years, both as a Regional Consultant and A&T trainer. His company Panmure provides consulting services to storage and sprayer-filling facilities. Before joining Agsafe, Bevan owned a grain and livestock business in the central wheat belt of Western Australia. He holds a Diploma in Agriculture from the WA College of Agriculture, Cunderdin.

Simonne Read, South Australia

Simonne has spent 15 years extensively involved with global suppliers of agriculture chemicals and animal health products. She has also worked as corporate agribusiness manager with the Commonwealth Bank, Adelaide.

Peter Tsouris, South Australia

Peter has worked with Agsafe for more than 10 years servicing the Guardian program and facilitating online training. As CEO of Australian Workplace Training in SA, Peter is well placed to assist stores on a wide range of compliance issues. He has an extensive background in logistics, WHS, AQIS, plus storage, handling and transport of food products, dangerous goods and chemicals. Peter has a Diploma of Logistics, Diploma of Training and Assessment and is a licenced driving instructor.
