ChemClear offers a simple, safe, and effective solution for disposing of unwanted agricultural and veterinary chemicals. Registering your chemicals is the first step in ensuring they are managed and disposed of responsibly, protecting not only your property but also the health of your community and the environment.

How to register your chemicals

Registering with ChemClear is easy and accessible. Simply click the button below and complete the form.

1. Take an inventory

Record the product name, manufacturer, container size, remaining quantity, and condition of your chemicals.

2. Register

Click the button below and complete the form.

3. Receive confirmation

Once registered, you will receive a reference number for each of your chemicals. This number helps identify the chemicals at the collection site.

4. Storage stickers

ChemClear will send you storage stickers one month after registration. These stickers display your registration reference number, aiding in the identification of chemicals in your storage area.

5. Chemical storage

You will need to store your chemicals securely until collection day. Keep them in a safe, labelled area, away from unauthorised access.

6. Collection notification

ChemClear will contact you with the location, date, and time of the collection event when it’s scheduled. Collections occur on a 2-3 year cycle per state or as soon as sufficient volume is registered in a region.

If you prefer a paper-based method, simply download and complete the ChemClear inventory form and return it to chemclear@agsafe.org.au or post it to ChemClear GPO Box 816, Canberra City.

Who can register?

The ChemClear program is available to primary producers, agricultural and veterinary businesses, local and state governments, retailers and distributors, and other AgVet chemical users including golf courses, horticulturalists, and forestry businesses.

Information needed for registration

To register your chemicals, you will need to provide manufacturer’s name, product name, container size (e.g., 20 litres), remaining quantity (e.g., half full), and condition of the container (e.g., good, leaking, fragile).

If the chemical is unknown, provide as much detail as possible, including any identifiable indicators.
