Empowering safe practices with comprehensive training

Agsafe’s training and education programs are designed to equip businesses in the agricultural chemical supply chain with the knowledge and skills required to safely manage agricultural and veterinary (AgVet) chemicals. Developed in alignment with federal and state regulations, our courses ensure participants receive up-to-date, relevant information to understand compliance, protect employees and customers, and safeguard the environment.

Agsafe’s structured training framework supports professionals at every stage, whether they are beginning their certification journey or maintaining it through ongoing learning. This framework is simple and effective, requiring participants to complete a major course every three years to stay certified, with additional training available to build knowledge and skills as needed.

How Agsafe certification works

Agsafe certification is a three-year cycle designed to ensure ongoing excellence in the safe storage, handling, and management of agricultural chemicals. The program ensures you remain up to date with best practices and compliance standards through a structured learning pathway.

Starting your training journey

To begin, participants complete one of Agsafe’s major courses, which form the foundation of certification. Certification is then maintained by completing a major course every three years.

Certification foundation: Major courses

AgVet Chemical Retailer Course

AgVet Manufacturer Stewardship Course

AgVet Chemical Distribution Centre Course

Chemical Masterclass (only available after completing a major course)

Over the three-year cycle, your team can also access specialised Deep Dive courses and a broad selection of Agsafe AgBytes — short, focused online modules. While these courses do not count towards certification requirements, they are an excellent way to strengthen technical expertise, improve on-site safety practices, and keep teams aligned with current industry standards and requirements.

Additional training pathways for large corporate members

Agsafe offers an additional training pathway for large corporate members to support ongoing excellence in the safe storage, handling, and management of agricultural chemicals. This pathway operates on a three-year cycle, with participants earning points through a combination of foundational courses and supplementary training. The approach helps large organisations keep their teams up to date with best practices and evolving industry standards.
