ChemClear collections successfully completed across Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia
ChemClear has successfully completed its recent collections across Queensland, South Australia and parts of Western Australia, helping Australian farmers and agricultural businesses safely dispose of unwanted and obsolete agricultural chemicals.
The South Australian collection concluded on 24 June 2026, with almost 90 participants safely disposing of more than 17,000 litres/kilograms of unwanted agricultural and veterinary (AgVet) chemicals.
In Western Australia, collections have been completed across the Metropolitan and Southwest regions. More than 20 participants safely disposed of almost 4,000 litres/kilograms of unwanted AgVet chemicals. Collections in the remaining WA regions will be scheduled once the updated run list is confirmed by the collection contractor.
Queensland's most recent collection, completed in December 2025, saw 165 participants safely dispose of almost 30,000 litres/kilograms of unwanted AgVet chemicals. This was the fourth highest collection volume recorded in Queensland over the past 20 years, highlighting the ongoing value of the program to the agricultural community.
Every litre collected represents unwanted AgVet chemicals that have been safely removed from farms, helping reduce storage risks, protect people and the environment, and support responsible chemical stewardship across Australian agriculture.
Since its inception, ChemClear has safely collected and disposed of more than 329,000 litres/kilograms of unwanted AgVet chemicals in Queensland, 275,000 litres/kilograms in New South Wales, 123,000 litres/kilograms in Western Australia, and 114,000 litres/kilograms in South Australia.
While these collections have now concluded, registrations remain open for the upcoming New South Wales collection. So far, almost 100 participants have registered to dispose of more than 30,000 litres/kilograms of unwanted AgVet chemicals.
Agsafe thanks everyone who participated in these collections, along with the contractors and local partners who helped make them a success.
If you were unable to participate in these collections, registrations remain open year-round. Register your unwanted AgVet chemicals here, and you will be contacted when the next collection is scheduled in your region.
